At this version there's no option to transfer a so complicated list like a party shout group between characters. But i think it would be possible to allow a data transfer like this... it's a bit complicated so i think i need some time to do this, but i will try it Until then, if you know a little bit about lua you could copy the saved lists into an other character (if this is the same account), or tell the other character the settings (if this is not the same account) The Loaded Lists page works at the moment only with the blacklist and the afk-keyword-list, but i think i could change this
Well, that's an difficult issue... What version of EAB do you use? and what other addons do you use? Has your mage any special characters in his name? If you could upload the SaveVariables.lua of your mage, too, it maybe could be helpful (it's at .../Documents/Runes of Magic/[name of your mage]/SaveVariables.lua). I think saves settings on server is not active? (in RoM->ESC->interface settings->in the bottom left corner should be a option to choose save settings on server) Do you have any other chars with the same name as your mage and other EAB-Settings? Do you mean all actionbar settings reset when you enter house or use portal, even if you've set them before without logging out? MfG
Hi Here is a new beta of the GroupInvite-Engine(build 815). I made this build because it was told me that GroupInvite works too slow, so i tried to make it faster I made the open and close functions faster, so besides a little delay when you're closing the frame there shouldn't be any delays anymore, it doesn't need so much FPS and the Fade-Animation is better Also, to change-page function works now faster. Last but not least, the texts are faster readable when you open the frame the first time If you found any buggs, or think something works also too slow or any other things, please post it here
After long time, v2.3 is now ready heres the changelog if anyone found a bug, please report this to me
2.3 Information for people who update from v2.2 or older versions: There're a lot of changes in the saved data, so a lot of your saved data could be deleted by the patch.

I'm very very sorry, but it seems that I can't work currently on the adddon, as I'm working on an much bigger project. As soon as this will release(planned at summer 2014), I will work on GroupInvite again, but until then the work here is frozen. Sorry again :( (I will of course still do my best to give best support to the addon)
There will be again a new code rewrite in the next version, to make a better handling for page developpers and to allow ingame aktivating and deaktivating of pages. This means that every developped page has to get a rewrite to be kompatible with the new version. BUT I will only rewrite the construct form of GroupInvite, the functions itselfs won't change (besides fixes and so on), to reduce the chance of getting new or already fixed buggs again The new version won't be ready in next time, so please be patient, the new version WILL come (...well, I think it comes around the end of 2014, if everything goes like i think)
Description: GroupInvite include a lot of functions. For example, it can search for groups (like ComeOnIn), with shouts and keywords. Also, since v2.3 you're able to send a shout in more than one channel at the same time. Other functions of GroupInvite are group saving, guild advertisments, raid sorting and so on.
You can also visit my Addon forum: http://groupinvite.xobor.de . There you can find betas of new versions, report buggs, tell me new ideas or help to translate the addon in other languages. I will look at this forum every day if possible!
Of course, you're able to activate or deactivate every of this functions It will send also automaticly whisper messages to other players, for example if they were set on the waitlist of the group or something like that
GroupInvite-Engine: Since v2.3 GroupInvite has an own "engine" of lua-scripts. This allow you to deleat any pages you don't need or ,if you're an addon author, add your addon to the GroupInvite interface. There won't be any unused xml parts if you deleat a page, so there won't be any unneeded resource-dropping. The file, which you can download here, includes the GroupInvite engine and the main pack of pages for GroupInvite. Other page-packes mybe will release in my addon forum.
Commands: Since v2.3 GroupInvite has a lot of slash commands, the most only if you've installed specific pages. The main commands are follow:
this two will toggle the mainfraime window:
/gic
/groupinvite
you can write something behind these commands to make different things. So, you can use this command to see all slash commands, which GroupInvite uses, and their descriptions:
/gic ?
/gic help
(of course, you can change every "/gic" into a "/groupinvite", if you want to)
Installation: Of course you can install this addon like every other. For those who don't know, how to install an addon, here an introduction:
At first, open your game folder. Warning, there're more than one folder on your computer with the name "Runes of Magic". If you can see an file called "Runes of Magic.exe", you're right.
(A little info, the follow problem isn't very often, but because i had this problem, i tell you how to fix. I had the problem that Runes of Magic couldn't execute any addons, because the game folder was in the folder "Programms(x86)" (i have to say, i use windows vista 64-bit). So i had to copy the game folder into an other folder, for example the desctop, and execute RoM from there to fix this)
At next, you have to find the folder "Interface" in the game folder and open it. If there's no folder with this name, create it.
In this folder you have to open the folder "addons". If there's no folder with this name, create it.
Then copy the GroupInvite-folder (not the .zip file, the folder in this file!) into this folder. A short check for the right path: the addon path should be like this: [your game folder direction]/Interface/Addons/GroupInvite
Now you can start the game. After you've loged in with one of your chars, you should see a short message of the addon into the chat window, which says that it loaded successfull
How to use own files: The addon allows you to use own invatation and leave sounds and own language files. You can also find a full introduction for this into the addon folder.
At first, open the addon folder
If you want to add an own language, easyly copy your language into the folder called "Languages". The file name have to use only upper letters.
If you want to add an own invatation or leave sound, open the folder "Sounds" and copy your sound into the folder "InvitationSounds".
Now, start your game
After you've logged in, you have to tell GroupInvite, that you've add files. Do follow to do this:
If you want to add an own language, open the language drop down menu and choose the last option. Then, insert the number of letters your language file use(without the file type) and press OK.
If you want to add an own invatation or leave sound, open the configuration page and use the function "add sound", then insert the file name and the used name in the addon. After this, press OK.
This may need some time. If the addon is ready, you will find your own language in the drop down menu/your own invatation or leave sound in the sound database list.
If you're a programmer and want to add your own page, you can find a tutorial how to do this at my addon forum
Support: You can post any buggs, comments, ideas and so on here, in the runes of magic forum or in my addon forum. Also, if you click ingame at the big GroupInvite graphic, you will see the credits and can contact the persons, which made the specific parts of the addon.

Beschreibung: GroupInvite enthällt viele funktionen, wie z.B. eine Gruppensuche mit Shouts und Stichwörtern(s. ComeOnIn), Abspeicherung der Gruppen, Gildenwerbung, ...

GroupInvite-Engine: Seit v2.3 hat GroupInvite eine eigene Engine aus LUA-Scripts. Dies erlaubt es, ungebrauchte Seiten einfach zu löschen oder neue hinzuzufügen oder, wenn du ein Addon Author bist, dein Addon in das GroupInvite-Interface einzubinden. Dabei werden auch nach dem löschen einer Seite keine ungebrauchten XML-reste übrig sein, so dass kein unnötiger Speicherbedarf entsteht. Die Datei, die du hier findest, beinhaltet die GroupInvite Engine und das Basis-Packet an Seiten. Weitere Seiten werden eventuell auf meinem Addon-Forum erscheinen.

Ich hatte das Problem, dass Runes of Magic keine Addons starten konnte, da das Spiel in dem Ordner "Programme(x86)" war (ich benutze windows vista 64-bit). Daher musste ich das Spiel in einen nicht-schreibgeschützten Ordner verschieben, z.B. den Desktop, und von dort aus das Spiel starten)
Als nächstes öffne den Ordner "Interface" in dem Runes of Magic Ordner. Sollte es keinen Ordner dieses Namens geben, erstelle ihn einfach.
In diesem Ordner musst du nun den Ordner "Addons" öffnen. Auch hier kannst du diesen Ordner einfach erstellen, sollte er nicht exestieren.
Als nächstes kopierst du den gedownloadeten Ordner des Addons in diesen "Addons"-Ordner(nicht die .zip datei, sondern den darin enthaltenen Ordner!). Eine kurze kontrolle: Der Dateipfad sollte in etwa so aussehen: [Dein Runes of Magic Ordner]/Interface/Addons/GroupInvite
Nun kannst du das Spiel starten. Nach dem du dich mit einem Charakter eingeloggt hast solltest du eine kleine Nachricht im Chat-Fenster sehen, die besagt, dass das Addon erfolgreich geladen wurde
Wie man eigene Dateien benutzt: das Addon erlaubt dir, eigene Ton- oder Sprachdateien zu verwenden. Du kannst eine vollständige Anleitung hierzu auch in dem Addon-Ordner finden.
Als erstes, öffne den Addon-Ordner
Wenn du eine Sprachdatei hinzufügen willst, kopiere diese einfach in den Ordner "Languages". Der Name der Sprachdatei darf nur aus Großbuchstaben bestehen!
Wenn du eine Tondatei hinzufügen willst, öffne zuerst den Ordner "Sounds" und kopiere dann die Tondatei in den Ordner "InvitationSounds".
Nun, starte das Spiel
Nachdem du dich mit einem Charakter eingeloggt hast, musst du noch dem Addon von deinen Dateien erzählen. Dazu mache folgendes:
Wenn du eine Sprachdatei hinzufügen willst, öffne das Sprachmenü und wähle die letzte Option. Gib im sich öffnenden Fenster die Zahl der Zeichen des Dateinamens deiner Sprachdatei ein(ohne Dateityp) und klicke auf OK.
Wenn du eine Tondatei hinzufügen willst, öffne die Seite "Verwaltung" und klicke auf "Sound hinzufügen". Gib dann den Dateinamen und den Namen der Datei, wie sie in GroupInvite genannt werden soll, ein und klicke auf OK.
Das könnte einen Moment dauern. Ist der Vorgang abgeschlossen kannst du deine Sprachdatei in dem Sprachmenü bzw deine Tondatei in der Sound-Datenbank finden.

Please notice that some functions has in the tooltip "Only if connected", which would mean that the connection to other GroupInvites would be required, but actual this feature is not included. This is for a planed permissions system for the guild system. This means that these functions will be locked in the next version until the guild-leader send you with GroupInvite the permissions to use the function, or the guild-leader is online but not connected to other GroupInvite users(for example because he don't use GroupInvite).

What is a "page pack"? A page pack means an addon which includes at least one new page of GroupInvite. Normaly, a page pack does nothing if GroupInvite is not installed, but there's also page packs like ExtraActionBars which work also as a stand allown addon. The idea of page packs is that the addon author don't have to make any XML files and get a lot of functions, like lists, language supporting, drag and drop system and so on. The GroupInviteEngine works like an big liburary for addons, which also includes it's own frame but allows the author to make the page like he want's to.
How to install an page pack? A page pack works like any other addon, so you can it also install like any other addon: copy the folder which is in the .zip into your addon folder and start the game. Page packs won't make any errors or something like that if you don't have installed GroupInvite yet. If the page pack is not a stand alown addon, it won't be exeucted, so it need only a little part of your memory. If GroupInvite is installed, the pages will be executed automaticly by GroupInvite, you don't have to do anything. I say it again: The only thing what you have to do is to copy the page pack into the addon folder like any other addon But waring: You have to use at least the from the page pack author recommend version of the GroupInviteEngine. If you uses an older version, it's possible that the page causes some errors and don't work anymore!
What is the different between an page pack and an addon? Why should I (as programmer) write an page pack instead of an normal addon? There is no "big different" between an page pack and an addon, but a page pack has access to the huge addon API "GroupInviteEngine" and can use it to make things automaticly. It also allows to create frames without using an XML-File (in my oppinion, XML-Files are anoying to write, there are much more lines than information and XML-Files are very static, there is no dynamic for dynamicly creation of special things), and gives some systems like easy-to-use lists or drag & drop, so it's not need to program such things again. The GroupInviteEngine also take the part of managing the languages and the slash commands, and allows an compleatly invisible communication between the player and all other users of the GroupInviteEngine(since 2.4)
Is the invisible communication dangerous? I would answer this question with an save "maybe" I grant you that none of my pages make anything dangerous with this function, but I can't speak for other page programmers. But - at least - you are allways able to disable this feature, also this feature is disabled by default. So you have to activate it by yourself to use it, which helps to keep this feature save. If you think that a page could use this feature in a way you feel unsave, deactivate the communication instantly and contact me as fast as possible so i can check this and - if needed - block the page. The feature to deactivate a page ingame can also be used as reaction of this problems. In the end, you don't need to worry about any dangerous things as long as you use only my pages, but like for all other addons, using page packs of dubious authors is on own risk.
Can i delete a page pack? Of course you can delet a page pack or some of the pages of the page pack as well. There's no problem with it, the saved data will be deleted at the next game start automaticly. Since 2.4 you could do this ingame, too, without deleting any file.
Where can i find page packs? Well, if other people write some pages packs,too, i don't know at the moment where they will releses them, of course, but you will find all of my pages packs of course at this forum
How to write an page pack? A tutorial how to write a full page pack can be found here(old version) or here(new version, but only in german!)
Hi In the follow i will try to teach you how to write a GISS-Script But at first, GISS is a very very simple programming language. It's not compatible with different languages, so you have to write your scripts in english. I recommend you to learn at first a little bit about programming in LUA, because I'm not realy good in teaching things
Well, let's start. You can create an empty GISS-Script by open the GroupInviteScript-System page in the tree menu of GroupInvite and clicking on "New Script"(that's the little plus). Then, GroupInvite will ask you for name of the script. You can use any name you want to, but the name needs at least 3 chars. After you've creaded your script and (if needed) choose it in the dropdown list as active script, you can write down your code in the big black box. All code between the "{ }" and after a ";" will be ignored, that's called a comment. But the ";" is only for one line! For example:

{I am a comment} I'm not a comment;but now i'm a comment
If and repeat Like in any other script language, there are if and repeat functions. If you want to do something only if some other thing is right, than you can use "If(Something=true)". Of course, you can change "something" to that what you want to check. You can do this also with the "true". Allows operator are: "=" or "==", which means "if both is the same" "~" or "~=", which means "if both is not the same" "<" or ">", which means "if the one thing is lower/higher than the other thing" "<=" or ">=", which means "if the one thing is lower/higher than the other thing or the same"
If you want to check more things at once, you can use "&&" or "and" if both must be right or "||" or "or" if one of these things must be right. You can also use "(" and ")" in your line, things in the "("...")" will be checked at first. For example:

If(arg1=true or (arg2=false and arg3>2))
There's NO "then" needed at the end of your line! But at the end of things which should only be done if your line is right, you have to write an "end". You can also use "else" or "elseif": else means that all after this line(until the "end") will only be done if your "if.." line was false and all "elseif" lines were false. elseif means that all after this line(until the "end") will only be done if your "if.." line was false and all elseif lines before were false and you're check at this line is right
for example:

If(arg1=true) do something elseif(arg2>3) do something else else do something other end do in every case this thing
A repeat works also with at least 2 lines: one line have to be "repeat", the other "until". You can add to the "repeat" command a number of repeats and a variable, which's the actuel repeat number, for example:

repeat(a,3) do something until
But you can also use the until like an if. Then the repeat will stop if the until is false, but it will be executed at least one time. Of course, you can combine this things. Example:

repeat(a,3) MSG("this line was done for the "#a#" time) until(arg1=false)
As you can see, you can combine strings with the character "#". Of course, GISS can also use simple math functions(like "+","-","*","/"), but it don't know that "*" and "/" have to be before the "+" and the "-", but the math functions knows that "("...")" have to be done at first. And, of course, GISS have a "return" function, this returns the specific value, but nothing will be done after a return was done! Example:

At last, you can also create variables in GISS-Scripts. You can do this simply by writing something like "MyVar=3". This would initialze the variable "MyVar" and set it to 3. You can use this variable in any functions, math functions, strings or as a return. This variables will be saved for the whole script ater their initialze, and deleated after the script was ending, but you can simply deleat a variable by setting it to no value. You can do this by setting it to nil or null. Example:

MyVar="this is my text" MSG(MyVar) MyVar=null return MyVar
(This would send "this is my text" at the chat window but it returns nothing)
If you want to know all functions and all global variables, there's a reference at the top right corner of the page, all with description You can also test your script with the button in the bottom right corner called "execute". If there's any error messages in the script, this errors will be showed in the little list above this button
I hope i could help you. And, last but not least, i want you to notice that GISS and LUA are different languages, you can't use any functions of LUA in GISS and you can't use any functions of GISS in LUA!
Ich hab grad die v2.3.771 beta hochgeladen changelog wie immer im ersten threat ganz unten Das ausschalten der AutoStop funcktion müsste da auch gefixed sein
Bis auf evt das mit den anderen sendern (im gleichen chat, ist einfacher und ich denke sinnvoller^^) ist das ganze denke ich nicht sinnvoll umsetzbar... Durch den worldchat könnte man ja auch von gildenburg/instanzen aus sinnvoll die werbung senden, oder auch in der gruppe, außerdem wäre für die instancen beim hinzufügen einer neuen auch ein update von nöten, was schwirig sein kann wenn ich bereits an der nächsten version arbeite, davon abgesehen, dass ich davon selten etwas mitbekomme, da ich rom nimmer aktiv spiele, sondern nur zum programmieren^^ nebenbei, ich bin zu blöd die afk funktion von xbarIII zu finden x_x wo is die nochmal? MfG
ich hab nun v2.3.598 beta mal hier hochgeladen changelog is im ersten threat, ebenso wie der download^^ die englische übersetzung ist noch in arbeit, is zur zeit zur hälfte fertig, aber nun könnt ihr bei curseforge beim übersetzen in jedliche sprache helfen
There is no Way to Save The Data before dc, sry ... You could copy a savedvariables.lua from another Player and copy The Part of EAB, but to Write it Self is very difficult... Maybe try to go back to The Charakter Screen instead of disconnecting directly, Maybe this could help... I havn't much Time at The Moment, so i will Post Here a Part of my savedvariables.lua, and which you have to change MfG
i dont know a way to get out the cooldowns of set skills, sorry ^^ i will try to make the next version more fps friendly, but it will always need some more fps, not at least because it has to save very much^^ I know this bug, and it will be fixed at next version MfG
